St. Charles Advances Downtown Planning Initiatives

On May 22, 2024, the St. Charles Planning & Development Committee met for 1 hour 42 minutes to discuss downtown development, parking, special event policies, and business improvement grants.


The Grove Townhome Development

  • Proposal: 21-unit townhome development along Route 31.

  • Status: Concept plan presented for feedback; no formal vote taken.

  • Concerns Raised: Increased density, incompatibility with surrounding single-family homes, and potential drainage and traffic issues.

First Street Plaza Special Event Policy
